Give a familiar face an artistic setting
A portrait from a photo brings a familiar expression into painting or drawing. Use it as a profile picture, include it in a personal greeting or keep an artistic version of a favorite photograph. The result is a digital image: painted textures and watercolor washes are visual effects, rather than physical materials on canvas.
Choose a medium to match the mood
Each option gives your portrait a different character:
- Oil painting for a classic, more formal interpretation.
- Watercolor for soft color transitions and a gentle feel.
- Black-and-white drawing for an emphasis on lines, contrast and expression.
For a monochrome portrait, try a photograph with clear features and visible light and shadow. A softly lit picture can be a good starting point for a watercolor portrait from a photo.
Pick the expression you want to keep
Use a sharp image without heavy filters, with the face unobstructed. Choose an expression you would like to carry into the artwork. The model preserves recognizable facial features, but interprets the details through the selected style. An AI portrait is a new image, so expect a strong resemblance rather than an exact copy.
