Meet your illustrated self
Create anime from a photo and see yourself as a drawn character. The template keeps your hairstyle, hair color and eye color to make the result recognizable, while facial proportions and details take on an anime look. The square 1:1 format suits a messaging app, social profile or gaming avatar.
Find your favorite art style
Choose a direction for your anime character from a photo:
- Modern anime for a contemporary, expressive look.
- Watercolor fairytale for soft color transitions and a painterly feel.
- 90s anime for a style inspired by hand-drawn animation of that era.
To turn your photo into anime, upload a portrait, choose a style and select “Create this look”. The prompt and model are already set up, so you do not need to write a character description or specify drawing techniques.
Start with a clear portrait
For a recognizable AI anime portrait, use a sharp image with your face, eyes and hairstyle clearly visible. Heavy filters and objects covering your face can make those details harder to interpret. You do not need a costume or an illustrated backdrop. The model creates a new image, so expect an artistic interpretation rather than an exact copy of your photograph.
Ready for your profile
Google's Nano Banana 2.1 generates your 2K anime avatar, usually in 30–60 seconds. Each image costs 6.6 credits: no subscription, pay as you go. Credits are charged only for a completed result and returned if generation fails. Registration includes 10 bonus credits, enough for your first image. Uploaded photos are used only for generation.
